Beyond Work

In my free time, I love hitting the trails, going for long runs, and traveling to new destinations. I enjoy staying active through these activities, both as a workout and simply for fun. Whether it’s a local hike or exploring a new city, I’m always up for an adventure. These experiences allow me to spend time outdoors and reconnect with nature.

I especially enjoy wandering through new cities, tasting local cuisine, and venturing into the wilderness. Visiting national parks is one of my favorite ways to admire the beauty of wildflowers, breathtaking landscapes, and diverse wildlife. Traveling and being outdoors fuel my curiosity and remind me of the simple joys of experiencing the world around us.

As a Project Client Manager with Statistics Without Borders (SWB), I lead collaborative teams of volunteer statisticians and data scientists to deliver pro bono analytical support for nonprofit organizations. My role bridges client vision and data-driven execution ensuring that each project maintains methodological rigor, ethical integrity, and meaningful real-world impact. I particularly value SWB’s mission of democratizing access to statistical expertise for communities that need it most, and I find great fulfillment in mentoring volunteers while facilitating transparent and effective partnerships with clients.

In addition to my volunteer leadership, I actively contribute to the academic community as a peer reviewer for leading journals such as Nature Communications, the Journal of Cannabis Research, and the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics. This work allows me to engage with cutting-edge research across disciplines, uphold high scholarly standards, and support the advancement of evidence-based insights in agricultural, environmental, and health economics. Together, these experiences reflect my broader commitment to knowledge exchange, professional service, and using data for public good.
